The title pretty much says it all. We played a show to like 300 people last night in a giant arena at ETSU (that’s Eastern Tennessee State University). We hadn’t been to Johnson City since we opened for Mayer here in 2002.
We got to the airport early this morning to avoid the security lines, traffic, and airport congestion of the Tri-Cities, only to find ourselves at the gate with an hour and a half to spare. We should have listened to the locals who said you need to leave for the airport at least fifteen minutes before your flight.
The extra time gave Josh a chance to order a “toasted bagel” from the Tailwinds Bar & Grill at the airport gate. They threw it in the microwave and handed it to him with that Southern Hospitality smile, which makes it hard to mock. Josh said it was sponge-y.
The show was good for a band that hasn’t played in a while. We’re announcing January tour dates in a day or two. Stay tuned.

You guys were excellent and hilarious as always. It was great to see you again. That crowd was unbelievably shitty, but you still put on a hell of a show.
