History was made tonight. Some kid named Nathan challenged Ryan to a game of Bond (007 on the N64) after the show in Atlanta and actually defeated him in the back lounge of the bus. Ryan was previously undefeated. He was clearly shaken after the defeat and wasn’t himself at the Clermont later in the evening.
This afternoon we played a little in-store thingie at some record store in Atlanta and 35 people showed up. We blew off requests for “Crayola” and other such Gus-era tunes opting instead for a 4 song set of Airport, I Spy, Happier, and Barrel of a Gun. We played 21 songs at our show tonight at the Variety too, which might be a record for us. Jump played like a 2 hour headlining set last night and we did our best to compete, despite the fact that my hands have never been larger.
They’re filled with fluid. Cheers,
b
